Is home and recouping! They had to remove and ovary and there was quite a bit of endo to remove. Hopefully she is resting. I know she was pretty sore. Keep her in your thoughts :)

Thanks for the update Heather & thanks for the T&P's! I'm a little more sore than the last lap, but aside from that & being tired I'm doing pretty good. I forgot just how slow you move after having a lap. I haven't talked to my ob yet, but dh said she sounded pretty optimistic about the surgery. She said that my right side looked good which would explain why all the pain was on my left. I guess most of the endo was under my uterus. :fingers: this did the trick!!

Kerry ~ I meant to say good luck w/ your ob & keep us posted. Endo is NOT fun!

So happy to hear you are back home and recovering nicely. I hope this was your very last Lap and that you are painfree from here on out.

Well, I go for my post-op this afternoon. To be honest I'm not sure if it worked! I have been in a lot of pain the last few days on my left side :( Kinda hoping maybe it is an infection or something like that (haven't had a fever) because that will mean that maybe the surgery did work, kwim??

Well, my OB suggested I try Lupron from a couple months to see if it is in fact the endo. She also wants to refer me to a specialist where I might have to have a colonoscopy  Looks like I may be a guinea pig again until we find out what is going on. If we find out that it is in fact the endo causing problems I may have a hysterectomy. Whatever I do it will be this year because we have already paid the $3,000 deductible after the surgery. Everything else should be "free".

Jeannnie,

I'm sorry the Lap didn't fix the endo. That really stinks. I'm also sorry to hear you might have to try Lupron and a possible hysterectomy. Big HUGS. I wish the Lap would have done the trick.

I've had a few colonoscopies myself (three generations of colon cancer in my family) and they are not fun. The worst part is the preparation, the actual procedure is a breeze compared (at least for me it is because I make sure they give me enough pain meds that I don't feel a thing- I woke up in the middle of my first colonoscopy and I don't ever want that to happen again.) If you need to get one, we will be here to help you through it. I'm sure it is nothing compared to childbirth, and you have already been there and done that. KWIM? :)

HUGS,

natalie

Thanks Nat! It sure is frustrating, but I know that I can't continue going through all this pain & hopefully they can find out what is going on! Definitely not looking forward to a colonoscopy because of the stories I've heard, BUT if I lived through all the tests, procedures, surgeries of infertility & childbirth I know I can handle this too! I just pray it is a fixable thing because my family has a history of cancer too.

Hi Jeannie, Thanks for thinking about me. I'm sorry to hear that you are still in pain! My Ob thinks that my pain may be from my gall bladder or liver (of course there was endo attached to my liver that couldn't be removed 4 years ago). I have an appt with my internist tomorrow. I have a lot of pain on my right side under my ribs and it's been getting worse.

 Living with pain is NO FUN and it makes us irritable and unhappy. I hope you can get things resolved soon.

Kerry ~ Sounds like you're in the same boat  Hopefully our dr's can figure it out soon! The pain is definitely not fun, but the part that bothers me the most is like you said, I get so grumpy no matter how hard I try not to!
