I want to scream. I can barely maintain daily tasks and I want everything done in our house yesterday. We moved in five weeks ago. Boxes are unpacked except for a few in the garage (cannot park in there yet). I have two rooms painted and ten gallons of paint already mixed and ready to go.

The kids and I have been out of town for ten days and now my sister and her two kids are here for a week. After she leaves we go out of town for a weekend with dh. Then we come home and my other sister comes for a visit. My sister's comment is that I need to relax. I do laundry every day, cannot let a dish go unwashed, am always hounding my kids to pick up toys and I just cannot chill out for even a minute. I am even nuts about working out. Nothing is good enough.

It makes me nuts when dh comes home and sits down to watch tv for a few minutes. I feel angry that he isn't manic like I am. I can't relax until everything is finished and that never happens.

Our 10 year anniversary is Thursday. Sex feels like one more thing to check off my twice weekly to do list.

Part venting, part worried. I don't know what to do. He is as frustrated with me as I am with my surroundings. Says I am no fun and I agree.

Christy you are definitely someone who likes to have control and order around them. Right now you have neither. It's understandable that you would be feeling anxious and overwhelmed. You just had a baby and moved to another state for Pete's sake!!

I would make a list of things that I want to accomplish everyday (daily stuff plus one or two "getting settled" things) until you feel like you are back on an even keel and have control again.

  I still think you're fun!!

That is EXACTLY how I am. I have OCD though, and I am in couceling for it, and on medication. Things have gotten MUCH better. Have you considered asking your doctor about it?

I totally get it. We were in Vegas for a week, have my niece and nephew for a week, they're leaving tomorrow, then a week trip, oh yeah and 3 parties in the next week. Last night, I had juice with rum in it, and today DH stayed home with the boys and I took just the girls for lunch and errands. I feel a little more together, except I still need to clean, pack, grocery shop. When you figure out what to do, let me know. Good luck sweetie!

I can't relax unless things are all done too. I can't stand a messy house. I get annoyed with my DH too if he's watching T.V and I'm running around the house like a fool. When I've confronted him about it he says that its my problem that I clean like crazy. He always tells me to sit down and relax. He's right, I have issues LOL.
My point here is I feel ya!
