I appreciate all of your concern - before I made the choice to drive home I really was feeling nearly 100% better and my house is less than 1/4 a mile from the cemetery (I had contemplated walking there, and boy am I glad I didn't). I would never have driven still feeling totally dizzy. The dizziness started up again once I got home, but you are right it was dangerous.
So, I woke up this morning with a horrible pain in my ear and knew instantly I had an infection.

I had maybe one ear infection all my growing up years and now I've had two in a year and a half. Both in the same ear. So, now I have antibiotics. I told the doctor about the dizziness and about how my legs have been heavy and achy ever since. So, she is running a couple blood tests today. Hopefully I will know more this afternoon. She is checking my thryoid, potassium, CO2, sulfur, and one other level in my blood to make sure kidneys are functioning well. She said otherwise it is entirely possible that the leftover achiness and dizziness is a result of the infection in my ear. It must be pretty bad because she hardly got the scope in to look when she said, "Oh yeah, this needs antibiotics." UGH. She also asked if I had ear tubes as a kid because the ear drum had an old scar on it. Nope, it was probably just leftover from a time I decided it was smart to stick a pencil in my ear.

So, I start the meds tonight and if things don't start getting better she wants me to come in for more testing.
