I had cramping in all of my pregnancies including the ones that I miscarried. By the time I stayed pregnant with the twins, I FEARED the cramps so much because I thought they always meant m/c. That was not the case with that pg and so in retrospect I just think that cramping in the first trimester is how my body responds to the uterine intruder(s).
Try not to worry too much over the weekend, but be sure to tell the doctor how you are feelings and worrying. They might be willing to do a quick u/s to help calm your fears.
I used a doppler with the twins to monitor their hbs and used it daily past the 2nd trimester. It helped me so much. I don't think I could find their hb with it until around 12w.

It's so hard after you have had a m/c to feel confident in future pgs. I hope everything is just fine for you and the baby.
